Wailea Point
While only a few ancient Hawaiian ruins remain in Wailea, two partially restored residential hale (house) and a large ‘ili'ili stone paved "working area" can be found at Wailea Point. The two restored rock-wall enclosures were used by Hawaiian villagers for sleeping and storage, and perhaps as temporary shelter for traveling fisherman. When the site was excavated, over 300 artifacts were recovered which included poi pounders, coral abraders, adze heads and fishhooks.
