“Worth Every Penny - An Incredible Vacation”

I highly recommend Wailea Beach Villas. They are conveniently located next to the larger resorts (The Grand Wailea, the Four Seasons, the Marriott, and the Fairmont) so that you are only a short walk away from many dining options. We also used the Grand Wailea fitness center and spa. But we found the large resorts to be so crowded, returning to Wailea Beach Villas was like returning to an oasis of calm and relaxation. In fact, we had multiple people who were staying at the Grand Wailea ask us about the Villas since there is such a difference between the chaos of the large resorts and the peacefulness of the Villas.

There are two pools, both beautiful, one for adults only and one that allows children. The adults only pool is right on the beach and we had no trouble getting a chair in the sun or the shade, whichever we preferred. We often would play in the ocean, then swim in the pool, followed by a dip in the hot tub, then back to our (ridiculously comfortable) lounge chairs. Heaven!

We stayed in Villa D301 and it was beyond anything I could have imagined. I never wanted to leave, it was so comfortable and luxurious. The view was amazing. We could watch the Marriott luau every night from our balcony. There were 6 of us (my parents, me and my husband, and my brother and his wife) and we all had plenty of space and were comfortable the whole week. We had wine on the balcony every night before going to dinner and played Monopoly in the living room while the Maui breeze blew through the door.

We had some fantastic meals while on the island. Highlights included: Alan Wong's Amasia at the Grand Wailea (incredible meal, do not miss), Capische in the Hotel Wailea, and Spago at the Four Seasons. We ate at Mama's Fish House for lunch which was extremely expensive, but the view and ambiance were really special. We took a private snorkel trip out to Molokini which was definitely worth the money. The group trips looked a little crowded and uncomfortable. We also had a private chef (Bernard) come to our villa one night and cook for us. We selected the menus ahead of time. I HIGHLY recommend doing this. The food was delicious and it was so nice to spend an evening in our villa since it was so gorgeous.

This is a long winded review, but I cannot state enough our much we enjoyed our time in Maui and at the Wailea Beach Villas. Do not hesitate in deciding whether or not to stay a the Villas, it is the absolute best decision you will make. Worth every penny!!
