"With the magnificent Pacific views and elegant Maui condos along the beach, our stay here was magical."
Hawaii may be the 50th state but it is worlds away from day-to-day life on the mainland. Its warm tropical climate is matched by the warmth of its people who treasure their island culture and are eager to share it.
Makena, on the southern coast of Maui, is rich in history with ancient fishing villages, fishponds, hei'au (temple), ko'a (small rock alter) and ku'ula (medium sized rock alter), used by fishermen to attract or worship fish or fish gods. One of these ancient Hawaiian sites is located at the Makena Surf, overlooking the sea, abundant with fish.
Overflowing with natural beauty, the spectacular beaches of Wailea and Makena vary from long stretches of white sand to untamed natural shorelines and secluded beach coves. Cascading waterfalls in lush rainforests, a 10,000 ft. volcano and an undersea world with near-perfect visibility are some of the reasons why Maui is consistently voted the Best Island in the World!
Learn a new language! With only 13 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet (one being the okina that is written similar to an apostrophe), you may find yourself a little tongue-tied when trying to pronounce some of the words, but Aloha and Mahalo will become second nature before your trip is over. E Komo Mai means Welcome and we hope to welcome YOU to Maui soon!
