The beautiful Polo Beach, at the outskirts of the luxury Wailea Resort, is the most secluded of the five beaches of Wailea, Hawaii. Decades ago, locals tell of how the horses and cattle from upcountry Ulupalakua Ranch would wander to Polo Beach and paw at the sand to drink from the natural spring. As the Wailea Resort was developed, the beach was named Ke One o Polo (Sands of Polo), Today, the beach is known as Polo Beach; and the Polo Beach Club is the only condo resort that is built this close to the ocean's edge and boasts its own beach.

This hotel was great - good location with direct access to a great beach. The rooms were nice - not overly luxurious but clean and good size. Our unit, #807, was on the top floor and had good views of the beach and ocean. We traveled in April and spent each morning watching the whales from our balcony with coffee. The pool is nice, but rarely used being so close to a nice beach! Security on the grounds is very strict about only allowing guests with keys to access the gate protecting the grounds. Parking is in a garage directly beneath the hotels with reserved parking spots.
