Our family of four rented the Makena Surf unit F208 through Destination Resorts for two weeks in March 2013, and we were blown away. The unit has been recently renovated (travertine floors, conrcrete counters in the kitchen, granite in the bath rooms). Electronic dimming system throughout with indirect lighting in all the ceilings and even on the lanai. Sliding glass doors on the ocean side of the unit collapse together and disappear into the wall - so you really feel that you are outside when in the kitchen and living area.

This is one of the best properties on the island. Private beaches, snorkeling our front. Very family friendly.

I almost don't want to say how wonderful this place was for fear of increasing its popularity, thus making it harder to book in the future! This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. We got a ground floor unit that opened up into a grassy area directly adjacent to the beach. Ground floors are great so you can go out directly on to the beach. The unit was equipped with everything you could ever want- even better stuff than we have at home!

We didn't know what to expect since we had never rented a beach condo before. We were immediately surprised and delighted with the fine quality of this rental. Within two minutes, we were wishing we lived there!

Stayed at Makena Surf in Jan 2013, found property to be very private, quiet, scenic, clean, immaculate grounds, tennis courts superb, pool areas exceptional. Will always look here first for future trips to Maui.

We came to the island for our daughter's wedding. We had staying with us her grandparents, ages 81,82, and 90. 5 in all. We were so close to the beach for the wedding it was perfect.

Our stay at Makena Surf was perfect! The people that work at this place are extremely nice - from the front office to the groundskeepers. The grounds are really lush and beautiful - 2 pools that rarely have more than a dozen people in them at any time...

Makena Surf is such a great location! This property is ideally situated within the complex. Views are unsurpassed. Beach is clean and never felt crowded. Snorkeling right in front of the condo is excellent. Saw lots of sea turtles!
