"With the magnificent Pacific views and elegant Maui condos along the beach, our stay here was magical."
“Hau’oli Makahiki Hou – Happy New Year, Hawaiian Style”
New Year’s Eve in Maui is a melting pot of traditions, typically shared with family, friends, food, fun and fireworks! Family and friends visiting throughout the night laden tables with a potluck feast that ranges from Japanese sashimi and sushi, Filipino pancit noodles and lumpia spring rolls, Portuguese Bean Soup, Hawaiian laulau and kalua pig and much, much more!
From our Chinese friends, we have the tradition of lighting novelty fireworks culminating with the big bang at midnight – everyone throughout neighborhoods islandwide popping a long strings of firecrackers to ward off evil spirits – in unspoken unision – you just know, it’s tradition.
“How Much is a Gallon of Milk in Hawaii?”
How much is a gallon of milk in Hawaii? It isn't cheap, that’s for sure! But when you stay in a vacation condo with Destination Resorts Hawaii, you become part of our 'ohana (family) which gives you an edge on your neighbors at the Grand Wailea and other surrounding resorts. So if you’re planning a trip to Maui in 2013, take these things into consideration before you book.
“Fantastic place to stay in Wailea”
Good: Accomodations and proximity to beach Location Tip: Perfect. Ulua Beach is not crowded and is great for snorkeling. Perfect place to stay on Maui. The property is right on Ulua Beach and is very close to The Shops at Wailea, which are within walking distance.
“Perfect Condo in All Respects”
This condo was the perfect place for a family get-away. We picked the Wailea Elua sight unseen and it more than fulfilled my wildest dreams. I had arranged the vacation for my adult sons (who like water sports) to meet me in Maui--the condo was spacious, perfectly situated on a gorgeous beach for sunning, swimming and snorkeling. It was so well equipped that I was able to cook a complete Thanksgiving dinner.
“Gorgeous Polo Beach Club”
We just returned from a perfect stay at The Polo Beach Club. The view was unsurpassed, the condo was well equipped, clean, quiet and in a perfect location, right on the sand. The sunset views were incredible each night. We were told that this unit has just been re-done with all tile floors which were very nice.
“Great Stay at Ekahi”
I spent a week at Ekahi in Wailea, Maui this past October. From the moment I walked in, I knew the place was going to be perfect—giving us plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. The unit has all the amenities you could ever need and everything appears to be close to brand new. The unit even had a nice view of the ocean from the main balcony. The location is great—right in the heart of Wailea, which is the nicest part of Maui. The beach, snorkeling, golf, high-end shopping and restaurants galore are all within walking distance. And a short drive gets you to even more restaurants, surfing, etc. It was a fantastic week overall. I highly recommend this condo and Wailea for a great vacation.
“Do NOT stay in a hotel over this place”
We were in Maui with a wedding party, and every one else stayed at the Hotel Wailea. I debated back and forth for about a month and finally decided on here. We were so glad we broke away and stayed in what is for sure one of the best places on Maui. You will not be around a million other people. The parking is close and ample. The beach is not huge, but clean and close. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL!
“Don't hesitate to book here”
The location is excellent with no road to cross to get the the beach. The grounds are beautiful and the pools are very nice with lots of seating area. Lots of people seemed to hang at the lower pool around sunset time but we had a great view from our balcony so we did not. The beach is large compared to the hotels in Wailea down the street. There is excellent snorkeling within an easy walk from the condo. The unit we booked was very nicely decorated with a wonderful view of the grounds and the ocean from the balcony. Each unit has it's own grill or there were cooking facilities by the pool as well.
“Oh. My. God! Wondrous Place...”
I thought I was staying in Donald Trump's private villa but though totally luxurious, it was in better taste. I had a three bedroom villa (F202) and it was HUGE! I measured it out and it was 55 long steps from the master bedroom closet (the size of many hotel rooms I've stayed in) through the house to the front door. Absolutely elegant yet refined and not over the top.
“Stunning”
My family and I stayed here for a week this past September. It was an absolute dream. Our condo was stunning with every amenity you could ask for in a high end luxury home. Just a few standout points:
“Wonderful Wailea Ekolu”
My husband & I, along with my parents, spent 11 days at Ekolu and couldn`t have asked for a better place to come "home" to after busy days of surfing, swimming, snorkelling and touring. The place was spacious enough that each had our privacy but enjoyed the shared living area.
“Beautiful grounds, great area”
We booked via Hotels.com, as we all know pictures say alot and the place looked great. Well upon arrival the place was even better. Check in was so nice and helpful in a cute little shopping plaza. The villa (116) was great. Lots of room for just the two of us and we each had our own bathroom. What more could I want. The balcony was big, bright and sunny. Perfect place to relax and catch some sun. I feel safe and secure here and it is really quiet. Beautiful grounds and Gardens. Well worth the price. Highly recommend. Front desk very helpful with booking reservations for dinners and activities.
“A comfortable stay”
This was our 3rd time in Maui and our first time staying in Wailea (although we had visited many of the beaches before). We enjoyed the location for its easy access to a variety of beaches including Makena, one of our favorites. We walked to the beach on our first day, but found it a little long (and there were no sidewalks for stretches) and ended up driving thereafter. Easy to drive and park.

“The Condo Is Beautiful”
We came to the island for our daughter's wedding. We had staying with us her grandparents, ages 81,82, and 90. 5 in all. We were so close to the beach for the wedding it was perfect.
