"With the magnificent Pacific views and elegant Maui condos along the beach, our stay here was magical."
“Life's a Beach”
A perfect place to have the beach and quality restaurants in short walking distance. Have the amenities of great hotels nearby and the convenience of an equipped condo to cook (BBQ included) and relax without the formality. This place gives you all the options.
“Worth Every Penny - An Incredible Vacation”
I highly recommend Wailea Beach Villas. They are conveniently located next to the larger resorts (The Grand Wailea, the Four Seasons, the Marriott, and the Fairmont) so that you are only a short walk away from many dining options. We also used the Grand Wailea fitness center and spa. But we found the large resorts to be so crowded, returning to Wailea Beach Villas was like returning to an oasis of calm and relaxation. In fact, we had multiple people who were staying at the Grand Wailea ask us about the Villas since there is such a difference between the chaos of the large resorts and the peacefulness of the Villas.
“Polo Beach Club”
We have stayed at Polo Beach club over half a dozen times and several times in unit 602. The only time we do not stay in unit 602 is when it is already in use. The view is amazing, the unit is very well kept and has all the amenities that one could need. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat. There is an outdoor grill for use and even a herb garden. We will continue to come back again and again, and stay in unit 602.
“Excellent Location and Service”
We stayed at condo 15D and found it fabulous. A great location of the resort - right by a beautiful sandy beach. Great pool area right by the beach. Great daily cleaning service by Destination Resorts.
“Fantastic Week in Penthouse 307”
This was our first trip to Maui and we debated between this property, the Grand Wailea, or the Four Seasons. We made the right call! The Grand Wailea, next door, has a "disneyland" feel to it - loud and crowded. Wailea Beach Villas are situated such that you have every convenience a large hotel can offer and a few that they cannot. No matter how nice a hotel is, if you're in a basic room with a couple of beds and no kitchen, your vacation experience will be driven by your need to find food and find some space to relax where you're not literally bumping into your loved ones.
Having only 4 nights in the Wailea area during our two week Maui vacation, we decided to splurge on the DR Oceanfront Prime condo in the Makena Surf. The wife and kids were delighted by the large condo and its proximity to the beach: out the slider, across the lawn, through the gate, and on the beach in about a minute.
“Get ready for the paradise!”
Wailea Ekahi Village is an amazing place where to stay in Maui. Our apartment was huge and it had everything you can need. It was clean and the location is very convenient. You can walk to get one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire island. Not crowded. I will be back if I come back to the island for sure. I highly recomend specially if you are a family but it could be good for all type of vacation.
“A World Apart”
My family including two young grandsons , found Makena Surf to have everything you could ask for in a beautiful, small privately owned ocean front location . After a week in a large, busy but fun Kaanapali beach hotel. we were looking for a quiet location that still offered a quality vacation time. We found it at Makena Surf, F110. A prime oceanfront unit on the ground level , it offered beautiful sunsets, a grass area for the grandsons to play and a beach a few metres (not minutes ) away.
“Luxurious and Relaxing”
We stayed in Penthouse #210 for 9 nights, June 26-July 5, 2013 and had a wonderful experience. The parking spots in the garage are very small, however there are outside spots of a normal size that could be utilized if desired. The garage spot for 210 is directly across from the elevator. The elevator is shared with 10 other units, however we rarely ran across other residents in the elevator during our stay. In any case, we never had to wait for the elevator.
The best thing about the Polo Beach Club was that we were right on the ocean! Apparently this was built before Maui had made a law that all beach front property needed to be a certain amount of feet away from the beach so its location was grandfathered in.
We stayed at this property for 6 nights. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was functional and the location was excellent! The hot water heater was half the size of a normal water heater which meant short showers (3 minutes each!) for our family of 5 and using the washer and dishwasher only when we knew we would not be taking a shower for at least 6 more hours. Also the internet was not the best internet. At first we could not get on the normal web sites we were accustomed to getting on like Facebook, trip advisor, Amazon, twitter and sites like these unless we were using dial up internet. This was very frustrating but we weren’t in Maui for this purpose so it didn’t ruin our vacation.
The management was very nice and eventually got us up to date internet. Also the sheets and blankets on the beds were cheap. It was nice to fall asleep to the crashing waves. We didn’t have any issues with our kids like others did who wrote reviews here and we are a loud family who likes to have fun.
The parking could use some improvement but the parking situation in Maui seemed to be the same everywhere (tight!). I liked the towels they provided for the beach. They were large and could soak up a lot of water. They also provided chairs and beach toys. The swimming pool is heated and the spa is hot. Here’s a tip though- right next door is the Fairmont resort and they will rent you an umbrella with as many chairs as you need, you can use their towels, they provide free sun block and water and all of this costs $45!
We had a great time at the Polo Beach Club and would return here again. I just hope they put in an ideal size water heater and update their wireless.
“Very nice family condo unit with a beautiful view!”
Good: The condo unit was fantastic...great beds, pillows, towels. Excellent concierge! Kitche well stocked. beautiful view! Bad: Recycle bins in the condo units. Location Tip: This condo was on the hill and golf course with great views. It was near EVERYTHING - beaches, shopping, restaurants but far enough away for privacy! Loved our stay in Maui and loved the staff and stay at Ekolu
If your white-knuckle ride along the Road to Hana has left any feeling in your hands, and you’re up for another couple hours of scenic delights, grab a walking stick and head out in search of Waimoku Falls on the Pipiwai Trail.
At the edge of the Pacific Ocean with a picturesque backdrop of the West Maui Mountains, a colorful battlefield under camo-netting awaits! Okay, this is probably not the image that comes to mind when you’re dreaming of a Maui vacation, but if you plan on bringing the kids, take note – this may be just the thing your family needs after days and days of leisurely lolling on pristine beaches!
I admit I didn’t know much about this latest rage that seems to have taken the country by storm, but everyone at Maui Paintball, from those decked out in the latest gear to us newbies in rented equipment, had a blast (no pun intended).
