"With the magnificent Pacific views and elegant Maui condos along the beach, our stay here was magical."
“Will Be Back! Highly Recommend!”
We just returned from our stay in Maui and Kauai (leaving one day before the Tsunami warnings). We have visited Maui many times, but have always stayed in Kapalua at either the Ritz or the Kapalua villas. This was our first stay in Wailea and the Beach Villas. We absolutely loved it and we will be back! We stayed in a Garden view penthouse and we couldn't have been happier. The place was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. We rented with Destination Resorts. The Reservations team was wonderful to work with and they had a beautiful (and huge) gift basket waiting for us upon arrival to our unit. The only thing we missed at the Wailea Beach Villas was having a bar near the pool. However, you can go next door to the Marriott for either Starbucks coffee or a cocktail. Also, sometimes the towels didn't make it down to the adults only pool until a lit bit later in the morning. We are early risers, so this isn't a big problem for most people. I would highly recommend the Wailea Beach Villas. The staff is wonderful, the condos are beautiful and the location is fantastic. Right across the walkway are delicious restaurants and an upscale shopping mall. We already looking at when we can return!
“An unexpected gem!”
This was an unexpected gem. Extremely low key but easy access to restaurants and beach. My favorite in Wailea. I often travel and am accustomed to staying in high end places. I really prefer low key, somewhat private places -- like the opposite of the frenetic, tacky (but great waterslides) Grand Wailea. The Beach Villas were surprisingly quiet and discreet even during the super busy President's Week break. You had access to the Wailea Beach, could walk to the Four Season's excellent restaurants or go across to street to the little mall. Very well appointed rooms, very quiet and the 3rd floor villas have spectacular views. I felt lucky to have stumbled on this place.
“We didn't want to leave~”
We arrived late but were greeted by a friendly desk clerk anticipating our arrival, complete with orchid leis, cool towels, iced tea, and an escort to our villa. From the moment we walked through the door we didn't want to leave, and we actually considered canceling our trips to two other islands and staying our entire vacation right there. Our Garden View Villa offered the perfect combination of accessibility to everything with as much privacy as can be found in a cooperative complex. The beach was a two-minute walk, as were swimming pools and a shopping center with restaurants, galleries, and gift shops. No expense was spared in the unit itself, which was so flawlessly designed we began rethinking our own renovations at home; it was spacious, luxurious, and peaceful -- and even better than the Internet pictures could ever show. If we had any complaints, they would be that a lot of smoke seemed to come out of the exhaust fan on the lanai, a light was out overlooking our private plunge pool, the cleaning staff were scheduled only every three days or so, and the adult pool hours were too limited (and too adult! our young children would have loved swimming closer to the ocean). If the flights weren't so long from New York to Maui, we probably would have purchased a place right then and there. Worth every penny!
“Absolutely perfect! Definitely stay here!”
Beautiful! Nice restaurants very close by. Definitely for those wanting a romantic getaway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are pristine. We had our little ones with us but with the spacious two bedroom, we were very comfortable. We did stock up the refrigerator. There is a Safeway close by. That helped a lot. The beach is not very big but still very nice. The grounds are beautiful. There were not too many children staying at the villas so it was still very quiet. We booked it through Destination Resorts Hawaii and appreciated their suggesting this for our family. This was our second stay in Maui and third to the islands. We enjoyed it.
“Out of this World”
We spent 8 nights in a 2 bedroom Penthouse with Ocean View at the Wailea Beach Villas and had an AMAZING stay! The condo itself was beautiful and completely lived up to the pictures we saw online. Everything truly was top of the line. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, bathrooms sparkling clean, plenty of towels. The view from the lanai was fabulous. Ocean view really means ocean view. The condo complex was very well designed - you have your own elevator entry. The units must be separated by concrete because we never heard anything from anyone beside us, above us or below us. Perfect for getting the kids to sleep at night. The family pool was excellent. There was a little area for kids that was about 18" deep, and a larger area that got as deep as 4 feet. This pool was right at the main penthouse building so we didn't have to go far. The best thing was that during our entire week there was never more than 8 people at this pool at the same time! And most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The fitness centre is well equipped. I only used the treadmill - all the cardio machines are new with TV's on them - just connect your earphones. Plenty of weights, benches, machines, etc. The people working there were SO FRIENDLY. They were constantly offering to help out, set up chairs & umbrellas on the beach, pointing us to sand & pool toys for the kids. We thought really hard to come up with a criticism... here it is: the remote controls for the TVs were a little hard to figure out. If we were technically challenged we would've had to call for help. Of course, the flip side to this is that there were so many TV's and DVD players and HDPVRs that they needed all those remotes! The place is pricey, there's no getting around that. BUT... the good news is that once you get there you don't get nickel & dimed for all the extras. You don't pay anything more for parking, internet, beach chairs, etc. Heck they even supply sunscreen at the pools. Plus, Safeway is about a 7 minute drive down the road so you can cook at "home" and save the restaurant bills. Wailea Beach itself is fantastic. The kids could play in the water on their own (3 & 4 years old). You could dive or snorkel from the beach - lots of coral reefs within swimming distance. We even saw a giant sea turtle in 4 feet of water. What more can I say... we'll be back for sure.
“THE place for a romantic get-away or family vacation”
My wife and I chose to stay in an Ocean View Villa to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. It was the most pleasing room I have ever staying in- like a 2800 sq. ft. Four Seasons suite! The materials and amenities were top-notch, the plunge pool was terrific, the service first-class. The pools were beautiful and there were recliners under a tree by the beach that we could have staying in all day. The landscaping is gorgeous with a waterfall and creek running through the property. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance and the spa at the Grand next door was incredible. We chose the room as a romantic get-away, but it would be great for families- there are 3 huge bedrooms and 3 1/2 beautiful baths and it even have a full size washer and dryer! The kitchen and living area were huge and opened up to a beautiful patio. There was free high-speed Internet and a printer in the room for our laptop and a great stereo with an iPod adaptor. We got a good deal because it was the slow season, but even a full-cost this room would be worth it. The only downside was that the room is on the edge of the property and you can hear the guests at pool of the Marriott next door. The Mariott also has a Luau a few nights a week and you can see it from the room which is fine if you want to watch it (we were always out to dinner during that time), but the lights shine up to the room. But otherwise the patio and plunge pool were very private with nice views of the ocean and nearby island.
“Good Luxury Accommodation”
The penthouse we rented was good value: great sized bedrooms, living rooms, kitchen. Nice balcony. Far better value (especially with the summer special we were enjoying) than adjacent 5-star hotels. Location close to best beaches on Maui. I would do it again.
“The Best Condo in Maui”
We just loved the Wailea Beach Villas, our condo was VERY clean and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. I just loved that we could walk right across to the street to the shops at Wailea and eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed in a unit with the private plunge pool and it was wonderful to cool off as our daughter took her nap in our condo we could watch her on the baby monitor while enjoying the pool and lounge chairs. The beach was a little far with a toddler but once you are there it is wonderful. Can't wait to go back, we loved it!
“WBV~ The Best Vacation Ever”
Our 3 bedroom Penthouse at Wailea Beach Villas was perfect. We traveled with 6 adults and each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The combined kitchen/dinning/family room was extremely spacious so we had plenty of place to kick back and be comfortable. There were two lanais; one with a spectacular ocean view and the other a perfect spot to sit in comfort and reflect or read. The location was perfect; two beautiful pools on property and the ocean with staff to make sure you were comfortable where ever you were. We were also only a very short walk to restaurants and shopping. We are hoping to go back often.
“Fabulous setting, beautiful rooms, great location”
If you can afford these villas, they are so much better than staying at a 5 star hotel. The villas are beautifully decorated and come with everything you would find in your home. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. These villas are very private right in the middle of the 5 star hotels in Wailea. You can use the hotel beaches, or stay in the Villa grounds which are beautifully landscaped and very quiet. They are right next door to the Shops of Wailea with 4 good restaurants right thru the gate of the property. Convenient, quiet, luxurious, with a gourmet kitchen to cook in if you wish. We stayed with our adult kids and 2 friends, and found the villas perfect!
“Wailea Beach Villas is a beautiful, well appointed and run rental”
This is a gated community. The guard at the gate ensures that YOU are supposed to be there, and then will direct you to reception. The first thing you will note is the wide open reception area and pleasant, friendly staff. The suite/penthouse we were in was absolutely gorgeous with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, (all spacious) a large gourmet kitchen with 2 fridges a stove, micro wave, coffee bar complete with supplied coffee beans, a large dining area and a large sofa area. Your key card will only work in YOUR elevator, and the elevator only opens at YOUR suite. Safety and security! This is all one room. with a large lanai with gas barbecue. Below us was the children's pool and hot tub area surrounded by gardens, trees and was just plain beautiful. We could see the ocean and were lucky to be able to watch whales while enjoying our morning coffee. There is no restaurant here, but just steps away are 4 very good restaurants at Wailea Shopping Mall. The beach is beautiful, and the beach boys and girls will set up lawn loungers for you. Everyone there was friendly, helpful.
“Wonderful, Peaceful and Relaxing”
This was the second time I've stayed at the Villas and both times the staff treated me like family. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful in any way they can. The Villas are absolutely amazing and the views from our lanai relax you at first glance. After a completely wonderful day on the beach it is such a gift to come back to a wonderful bed to rest in as well as beautiful place to call home even if only temporarily. The adults only pool and hot tub are wonderful as well. We didn't have our children with us but the kids pool is great as well and is placed quite a ways away from the adult area which can be a great thing.
“Great location on Wailea beachfront”
This condo/hotel provides an excellent alternative for families wishing to avoid crowded hotels or staying in separate hotel rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit + den (which contains a sleeper sofa). The accommodations are spacious and well-furnished, with flat screen TV's in the master bedroom, 2nd bedroom and family room. Granite/limestone baths and a designer kitchen create a luxurious environment and a comfortable place for entertaining guests or simply relaxing as a family. An additional plus is a built-in gas grill on the lanai. The unit is reached via elevator and there's a sense of privacy because of the limited number of units sharing each elevator tower. Parking is included in a basement garage with easy access to the elevators - for bringing in groceries or whatever you need.
We booked our reservation through Destination Resorts Hawaii and were pleased with their welcome reception in the lobby and general handling of our arrangements. The only awkward time came on the last day of our stay, when we requested to extend our day with a late check-out (most flights returning to Mainland USA are in the evening or nighttime) - and the unit was not available due to another check in. They recommend you book an extra night if you want/need a late check out for red-eye flights.
“Expensive but absolutely amazing!”
We had a 3.5 bedroom garden villa with a plunge pool. The furnishings were magnificent (even with little kids) bathroom, kitchen etc simply amazing. 3-4 minute walk to the beach. Very expensive but if you can afford it then it's absolutely worth it. The staff fall over backwards to help you and they are incredibly friendly. If there was a 10 star for a resort then this would be it.
“The Most Fabulous Luxury Holiday Ever”
We booked this condo through Destination Resorts Hawaii, we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and what a memorable holiday it was. We were booked us in the an Ocean View Penthouse with the most amazing view, every morning and evening we would watch the whales from our balcony. .we were there almost a month, so we used the gym almost everyday to work off the food we were consuming. There is world class dining all around our villa, that being said, it was nice staying in an cooking as well, the kitchen is beautiful . When we arrived, there was a chilled bottle of champagne and a basket full of goodies waiting for us. The condo is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean!! The pool was fabulous, the beach is right out front and the pool attendants were friendly and always available to set up beach chairs and umbrellas. Almost every afternoon we would walk next door to the Marriott and pick up our mai tai"s at the bar, We look forward to coming back and bringing our family with us!
“We celebrated our thirty fifth anniversary at this wonderful place and couldn't have had a better time!””
We did our research in choosing this place and all of the ten out of ten ratings we saw for the Wailea Beach Villas we thought were well deserved. We hardly left the property for the entire two weeks. Without a doubt, it was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. We walked on the beach everyday. The ocean is very beautiful from that location. We spent time visiting the larger hotels close by for some meals and drinks. We loved the shopping center and restaurants next door which were so conveniently located that we didn't even have to get in the car if we needed anything. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the whales literally leaping out of the ocean. We took in many beautiful sunsets from the excellent oceanfront suite. One night, one of the hotels put on a world class fireworks display and we were incredibly impressed. The hotel staff were fantastic. We found the staff to be friendly hardworking, knowledgeable, attentive, punctual and interested in helping us to have the best time possible. We were greeted on our arrival with leis and cold drinks, which was a nice surprise. We also didn't expect to have twice a day visits for cleaning and turn down service. The suite was always kept immaculate. The suite we stayed in was exceptional. We marveled at the beautiful Hawaiian artifacts and felt like we were staying in a museum with a wonderful collection of beautifully chosen artwork. We enjoyed using the most modern up to date appliances. We loved this destination resort and would happily recommend it to anyone.
“Your Own Mansion”
For those of you who live in nice, big, beautiful, clean, homes with lots of amenities and help, this place is just like being at "home" (in a new location!).. Or for those of you who don't love your home, this is the perfect place to know what it feels like to love your home and live like a celebrity!
“Best Maui Trip I have taken with my Family!”
The Wailea Beach Villas was absolutely a wonderful place for our family to enjoy our weeks vacation. The location, staff, service and amenities were well worth the price.
“The Best Service on the Island”
We have stayed at the Wailea Beach Villas- Destination Resorts several times now. Each time we stay there, I always make a promise to myself to return. From the first greeting- cool towel, tea and lei through the day we check out, everyone we come in contact with are kind, courteous and accommodating. My kids love the tea so much, I was trying to find it in the grocery store! I was telling that to the Concierge and he went and got my son a glass of tea! Each unit we have stayed in has always been comfortable, beautifully furnished and feels like home.
We had a beautiful unit with plenty of space, beautiful rooms and great amenities. It is perfect for families like ours with teenagers. The beach is beautiful and there are many activities for the grown up kids. Wailea Beach Villas provide full beach and concierge services with many fabulous restaurants nearby. We had a great time!
“Beautiful, Totally Worth IT!”
There isn't much more to say. It was expensive but in my mind totally worth it. Like home away from home. The unit we had was a perfect view looking out over the ocean where we could see the unobstructed sunset. I have nothing but good to say if you can afford it and are looking for something quieter than a hotel or resort stay here.
“Love the house cleaning service!”
I absolutely Love this hotel and Love the house cleaning service. (Daily and Evening Turndown provided.)
“Stunning and Delightful Experience”
Wailea was an absolutely beautiful area to explore and these Villas provided luxurious and comfortable accommodations after a hard days work of play :) This truly was the perfect place to amp up our vacation because the grounds, pools, and setting were ideal and wonderfully maintained. It really was a paradise. The decor was unique and modern and easily fit our family of five adults (with room to spare). We had an ocean view villa that was not on the beach front so there was also a view of the Marriott next door (which got a little bit annoying with the events they had outside every evening). The beach was only a short walk away and the resorts along Wailea had ample opportunities to go scuba diving, snuba-ing, snorkeling, cruising, and even swimming with sea turtles! While we were there we really tried to do everything. I would highly recommend snorkeling (especially with turtles) and scuba diving as there is such a rich sea life to explore. Also, the sunset cruise was such a fabulous experience; with a fun crew, beautiful views, drinks and snacks, and great music. We went on the Hana Highway, and I do not recommend this for the squeamish. There were some seriously terrifying corners and steep slopes but if you can get past that there are some mind-blowing views and waterfalls. Lastly, a helicopter ride is a must see! They take you all over Maui and explain the history and culture of the island while showing you Hawaii from a different perspective.
“Wow! Absolutely Beautiful”
These are private villas which are very beautiful , We stayed for 6 nights for our honeymoon and had the best relaxing time, I highly recommend these villas, There are up to date, very modern, high end appliances, My next trip to Maui Hawaii, I'm definitely staying at Wailea Beach Villas!!!
This Place is Amazing!! The Best we have stayed at on Maui!! It had everything we needed and more!!
“Villa D301 - the best view from anywhere”
We just spent a week in luxury and comfort. This was definitely one of the best vacations ever. The villa was high end and very comfortable. We had a full sea view. The luau at the Marriott was right below us, which was entertaining the first night, and we just ignored it the other nights (it was on four nights a week). This villa was like a luxury home away from home - we never felt like we were in a hotel. It has three huge bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The kitchen and living area are also very spacious. The staff at the front desk, concierge, pools and on the beach were all very friendly and helpful. The shops at Wailea are right next door. There is a walking/jogging path between the villas and the beach. We rented boogie boards and snorkel sets from Tropical Toys - they deliver and collect the items from the villas punctually. We also did a Molokini trip on a catamaran (Kai Kanani) that leaves from Makena Beach. This was a great outing. Dinner at Spago's at the Four Seasons Hotel (a five minute walk along the beach path) was outstanding, but not cheap.
“Fabulous place to stay on Maui in Wailea”
From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We were told to leave our car in front and someone would unload everything including our groceries and bring them to our condo which was fabulous, overlooking the ocean. Our home for the week was equipped with everything we needed including soap for the washing machine. It was so beautifully decorated. The entire staff could not have been more helpful. The grounds were manicured. The location was great, on the beach and next door to a wonderful shopping center with numerous restaurants. We will definitely come back as it was the perfect place to stay.
