"With the magnificent Pacific views and elegant Maui condos along the beach, our stay here was magical."
Location Tip: Can it get any better? On the ocean, beautiful well-kept grounds, and a wonderful walk to shopping/dining/pool/beach, etc... We have been coming to Elua for many years and have never had anything but a great time in a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil setting. All of the staff at Elua are helpful and kind. We have had great help from the cleaning staff to the front desk and security gate. The condos are quite user friendly and well stocked, even though they may not be quite as elegant as a comparable hotel. The units say "come in and relax" which is just what we always want to do!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom, upper level unit with a great view. The unit was terrific with updated bathrooms and kitchen and supplied with beach towels, chairs, standard hotel toiletries, beach toys, detergent for the washer, dish soap and dishwasher detergent (which definitely cut down on our supermarket bill). There were a couple of days when it was difficult to get moving since just hanging out on the lanai, enjoying the sun with a cup of coffee, was so pleasant!
The unit was an easy walk to the beach and the beach was great! We didn't even use the pools (although the main one looked great) other than to walk thru the pool area to get to the workout room.
“Heaven On Earth”
I almost don't want to say how wonderful this place was for fear of increasing its popularity, thus making it harder to book in the future! This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. We got a ground floor unit that opened up into a grassy area directly adjacent to the beach. Ground floors are great so you can go out directly on to the beach. The unit was equipped with everything you could ever want- even better stuff than we have at home!
“Great place to stay”
We have stayed in unit 38D several times and love it. It has great views of the ocean and is well equipped. We always rent through Destination Resorts, their service is great and if anything goes wrong, they fix it immediately. I would definitely recommend Ekahi to anyone, but do your homework and check the location of the specific unit you are thinking of renting.
“Wailea Ekolu Village”
Good: We had a great time at the Wailea Ekolu Village and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Maui. Great location, great amenities. The ocean view condo was well worth the price to upgrade. We sat on our spacious balcony and watched the whales spout and breach every morning, even without binoculars, the view was fantastic!
We stayed 10 days at Ekahi Village & loved it. We were in unit 7A - ground floor with a garden view. Buildings 7 & 8 are in our opinion the best place to stay. Closest to the large pool and patio complex & the beach. The grounds are immaculate & everything about the place is A-1. Our unit was one bedroom but easily could have been used by 2 couples.
“Great Vacation Home away from Home”
This is my husband and my sixth stay at the Grand Champions Villas and we have had another great stay! The fully equipped kitchen allows us to make our own breakfast and lunches saving us time and money so we can enjoy great Happy Hours and dinners! The proximity to shopping at the Shops at Wailea and the beaches is perfect. The pools are great and the barbecues a nice thing to have for grilling fresh local fish! We can't wait for our next trip back to Wailea!
“The Best Condo Ever”
We didn't know what to expect since we had never rented a beach condo before. We were immediately surprised and delighted with the fine quality of this rental. Within two minutes, we were wishing we lived there!
“Wailea Ekolu Village”
Good: The house was very nice with nice design and comfortable furniture. From the big balcony (there were two of them) we had a wonderful view over the ocean where we saw whales jump in the water. Bad: We liked everything!
“By far my favorite place to stay”
I have stayed here 3 times now. All i have to say is wow. 2600 sq ft penthouses with 600 sq ft decks. Adult pool by the beach. Probably the best beach in Maui. It is exepnsive. There is no room service as you are staying in private residences but the main mall is a 4 min walk. Really great time. We overlooked the ocean and had nightly music from the hotel next door every night. Fabulous.
“Private Beachfront Getaway”
Stayed at Makena Surf in Jan 2013, found property to be very private, quiet, scenic, clean, immaculate grounds, tennis courts superb, pool areas exceptional. Will always look here first for future trips to Maui.
“Upscale Condo Village”
Ekahi is one of the more upscale condo villages in Wailea. Buildings only have 4-5 units. Depending on where they put you in, you might be closer to traffic noise / farer away to the beach (e.g. building 52) or close to the beach / away from the traffic noise (e.g. building 4). The village is very well-maintained. Quality of appliances/furniture depends on condo owner and ranges between new/luxurious and simpler/but OK. I can recommend Ekahi to those who like to enjoy Wailea but dont like ultra-big resorts with fees for everything you get free here (WLAN, parking in front of building, pools, BBQ, beach chairs...)
Not that it wasn't beautiful before, but the oceanfront infinity pool at Wailea Beach Villas underwent a complete renovation in late 2012. These inviting blue waters are the perfect place to relax, soak up some Maui sunshine and watch the whales breach and play just offshore!
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., changed America with “I Have a Dream” as he sacrificed his life while advancing civil rights using nonviolent protests. 120 years ago on January 17, 1893, Hawaii’s Queen Lili’uokalani made a similar decision to protest peacefully so that no native Hawaiian would sacrifice their life during the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. On this Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, we share our story with you with Aloha.
Of all the famous visitors that come to Maui year after year, there is one annual visitor that is the most anticipated of all! If you guessed Oprah Winfrey, Steven Tyler or Paris Hilton – sorry, you’re incorrect! Travelling 3,500 hundred miles from Alaska, it’s the humpback whales that everyone comes to see!
