Maui Golf Course

Wailea-Maui’s Award-Winning Golf Courses

Among the world's great golf destinations, few shine as brightly as Wailea where a backdrop of panoramic ocean vistas and stunning island scenery grace challenging courses. Exceptional year-round weather - typically sunny with gentle breezes - makes the south shore of Maui the ideal golf destination for sun-drenched strokes.

Wailea Golf Resort, located on the magical island of Maui, has been rated among the best golf courses in the country by both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest for the quality of its courses, accommodations, amenities, and legendary spirit of aloha. Among the most beautifully maintained luxury golf resorts on Maui, the Wailea golf courses have fewer hazards and offer more forgiving play than the Makena courses.

Wailea Gold Course, hailed as one of the world's best designed courses by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler, is the most challenging of all the Wailea courses. This par-72 course offers a robust, but fair, test of golf. It has challenged an elite handful of the most legendary players, but still offers four to six tee boxes on every hole to make it a friendly track for golfers of all handicaps.

Golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. took full advantage of Wailea's naturally rolling terrain and created an outstanding layout that measures more than 7,000 yards and showcases Wailea's stunning scenery. Strategically-placed bunkers and hazards, changes in elevation, and masterfully designed doglegs have earned the Wailea Gold golf course numerous accolades.  Adding to its legacy, the Champions Skins Game was held at Wailea Gold Course from 2001-2007, with golfing legends like Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, and Tom Watson winning the event.

Enjoy amazing tropical vistas from the Wailea Emerald Course with the sparkling ocean on one side and the dormant Haleakala volcano on the other. The kinder fairways make this a most enjoyable course with four to six tee boxes on every hole for players seeking a greater challenge.

Stunningly scenic, this Maui golf course offers an abundance of panoramic ocean views and fragrant tropical blossoms. Also designed by Robert Trent Jones II, this course is ranked among the finest courses in the country, with numerous accolades for skillful design and overall experience. A notable feature of this Wailea par-72 golf course is a double green on holes 10 and 17, one of few in Hawaii.

The classic Wailea Blue Course, known as the "Grand Lady of Wailea", laid claim to the lay of the land as the first thing built in Wailea and now meanders through the heart of one of the world's finest luxury resort communities. With cooling fountains, serene lakes, exotic blossoms and coral sand bunkers, the Old Blue is a true Hawaiian golf course. Its fairways meander throughout Wailea offering impressive views of the azure waters off of Maui.

The Wailea Golf Resort offers an excellent pro shop, top-quality rental clubs and shoes, exceptional golf school, award-winning restaurants, locker rooms and lounges.

Makena Golf Courses
