We had been to Wailea once before and stayed at the Grand Wailea, which is of course fabulous but expensive. This time we brought the kids and decided to go the condo route. After much research we settled on Makena Surf because it was right on the beach, so the kids didn't have to cross a road to go boarding. It was fantastic.
