Obon Festival in Lahaina
The Summer Obon festivals brings the Buddhist tradition of honoring ancestors and loved ones who have passed away. The festival , where the pounding of Taiko drums beat to bon dances has become a cultural event for local residents and visitors. Highlighted with the traditional lantern ceremony, this event is open to everyone regardless of religious affiliation.
The event takes place at the Lahaina Jodo Mission, 12 Ala Moana Street, Lahaina and begins at 6:30pm on Saturday. Click for more info.
