Broadway stars Gary Mauer and Elizabeth Southard will join the Maui Pops Orchestra for “Broadway Pops” at 3 p.m. January 20, 2013, at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

The two sang the lead roles of Christine and the Phantom in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's international sensation, “The Phantom Of the Opera.” The guest singers will present a collection of memorable Broadway songs from hit shows such as “Les Miserables,” “Show Boat,” “West Side Story,” “Chicago”and more.

Southard and Mauer, who are married, also starred in the first national tour of the Harold Prince revival of “Show Boat.” Both have worked extensively in musical theatre, on and off Broadway and in national tours, singing with a number of symphony orchestras across the country.
